It may be just a temporary bump, but Mitt Romey is doing better at the polls. Based on our composite tool, it appears the race is tightening, with Obama leading by just  2.6 points; last week the lead was 4 points.

Perhaps, it is the money talking; he is still outspending Obama in campaign ads in the key states. It could also be a temporary bump due to the Paul Ryan factor kicking in. So far, all the negative publicity surrounding the Republicans shows no sign of hurting his ratings.
